Careers Education at Bottesford Junior School

At Bottesford Junior School, we believe it’s never too early to start inspiring children about their futures. Our careers education programme helps pupils explore the world of work, develop key skills for life, and broaden their horizons.

Through lessons, visitors, trips and projects, children learn about a wide range of jobs, the value of different skills, and how what they learn in school connects to real-life careers. We work closely with The Lincolnshire Careers Hub, local employers, further education providers and our wider community to give pupils meaningful, age-appropriate experiences.

Our approach is guided by the Department for Education’s Careers Guidance and the Gatsby Benchmarks for Primary, ensuring our provision is inclusive, aspirational and well-planned. We aim to raise aspirations, challenge stereotypes and help every child see the many exciting possibilities ahead of them.
